Cameron Orland was born and raised in the Pacific island of Guåhan. She taught herself to knit at the age of 12. She moved to San Francisco in 2015 to study Knitwear Design at Academy of Art University. Currently, she loves experimental knitwear with unconventional materials, stitch patterns, and silhouettes. Though far from home, she is most inspired by her connection to her CHamoru and Filipino ancestry, childhood nostalgia, and her eclectic taste in art and media. As a designer, she continues to explore the medium in hopes of creating the art she loves for people who appreciate it.
