Zhuluan Liang was raised in an urban city of southern China. From a young age, she has shown a great interest in fashion and accessories, believing jewelry and clothing can not only help enhance the beauty of a person, but also symbolize and highlight their personality and charm. In order to improve her aesthetics in fashion and jewelry-making skills, Zhuluan moved across the Pacific Ocean to San Francisco to study at Academy of Art University. She is expecting to graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewelry & Metal Arts in Spring 2020. She takes an active part in the annual Spring Show held by the school, and she received Second Place BFA/MA (tie) in the 2019 show. Currently, Zhuluan is working on contemporary jewelry inspired by nature. As protecting nature becomes more urgent in present times, Zhuluan hopes her artwork can remind the viewers to respect nature and to start saving wild fauna and flora.
